Chi-Sci-Fi

This is a very large piece, done from a sketch given to me, to be hung in a large media room. It’s a mixture of dinosaurs, Buck Rogers spaceships, superheroes, and large Japanese giant-monster films (basically men in rubber suits trampling cardboard cities).

The development of atomic weapons in the 1940s started the theme of giant creatures, everything from Godzilla to Gamera, a giant turtle, all created by some folly of mankind, usually nuclear radiation.
